      Main Description

      When changes needs to be done at the product level, instances of core assets needs to be created. This instance creation means a new branch for the development of specific product code/documentation.

      Steps
      Identify version to create (Branch-off) instance
      Identify from which release version the instance will be created.
      Explicit the product that is generating the instance
      in the moment of the instance generation, the product that drives he instantioation must be explicitly documented. A possible suggestion is include the product ID in the branch naming.
      Key Considerations
      This instance creation means a new branch for the development of specific product code/documentation.
      Alternatives
      Before creating an intance (branch off the core asset) one should verify if it is possible to implement the change proposed in the core asset level, bringing much more convenience to both CAD (Other products can make use of this change) and PD (without branched versions of core assets, merge propagations is minimized) development teams.
